Rustik

Rustik is a fictional Austrian cider brand, with its signature flavour being rosehip cider. I created this project in my free time as a way to practise and refine my packaging design and 3D modelling skills. My aim was to design a drink brand inspired by whimsical visual trends such as cottagecore and fairycore, while maintaining a distinctly elegant, handcrafted look.

To achieve this, I drew heavily from Art Nouveau, using decorative details and organic shapes to evoke a soft, dreamy atmosphere. The design embraces embellishment and a desaturated colour palette to reinforce these values. This character also extends to the shape of the bottle, which deliberately strays from conventional drink packaging. Its rounded silhouette together with the red hue of the drink itself resemble a fantasy-style health potion, tying in with the brand’s fairytale-inspired identity.

I modelled the entire bottle myself in Blender, and designed the label in Illustrator, ensuring that both elements complemented each other. The overall scope of the project was rather small, as I wanted to concentrate on a single, well-developed product rather than a full brand identity.

I’m very pleased with how the final product turned out. I particularly enjoyed the process of combining different creative mediums and styles.
